We’ve made a few changes – we will no longer be publishing a separate post for photos, but will be linking a Google Photos album at the top of each blog post. Hopefully that means it’s easier for you to browse through photos and comment if you’d like 🙂
Oh hey! It’s been a while, again. We’re in London (UK) right now, and we’d love to catch you up on how our summer’s been going so far!

We flew to Montréal from Taiwan on June 11.
After a week-ish of hardcore chilling after our intense and fun Japan / Taiwan trip with Jonny’s parents, we flew to Montréal so that Wei-Wei could become a Canadian citizen on June 18!
It turns out that even though citizenship ceremonies have been happening via Zoom since pandemic, the ceremony itself involves cutting your PR card on camera with an immigration official, so you have to be in Canada when it happens! Plus, it was a great opportunity to see our friends and attend the Linton family reunion!

It has been such an unexpected pleasure to be in Montreal seeing all of our friends again. We have missed them dearly!
Jonny planned staying in Montreal for the month of July, so we managed to sublet a room in a friend’s apartment for part of June and all of July. We love staying with friends, but also love having a home of our own (and sharing it with two wonderful cats!)
WW became a Canadian citizen! On Zoom!

The casual chaos of all of us cooking a big meal together as a group was a beautiful, wonderful thing to behold. We have missed our friends so much!

Hanging out with Rob – the empty car park near my old apartment on Laurier/Papineau has now been transformed into a mini-golf range? Naturally we had to try it out.

At the end of June, we took the train to Ottawa to attend the Linton family reunion!
The reunion has been in the works for quite some time, and for a long time we were the only two members of the family (including people who live in South Africa and Korea) who weren’t attending. We were really happy that WW’s citizenship ceremony lined up so perfectly so that we could come to the reunion!

The Linton family reunion was a wonderful event – it was the first time WW had met much of the family, and also it was our first time meeting baby Oscar who was still baking in the oven when we last saw David & Hannah!
Games-master Gwen!

We went on a family bike ride on a beautiful sunny day!

We even managed to squeeze in an impromptu D&D one-shot, GM’d by the wonderful Daron. It was excellent fun.

On July 3, WW went back to Montreal to pick up her Canadian passport (!!!) and took the bus down to New York City for 3 weeks. WW spent 3 weeks in NYC while Jonny stayed in Montreal – then, Jonny (along with some of our friends) joined WW in NYC for New York Hustle Congress at the end of July!
